It’s
estimated that, globally, more than 50 million people will be affected by an
eating disorder at some point in their lives. Everyone—regardless gender, age,
race, ethnicity, culture, size, socioeconomic status, or sexual orientation—can
be impacted. Chances are at some point, you’ll be working alongside someone
with one of these disorders.
There is a
dire need to create awareness of EDs in Pakistan. EDAOP annually organizes a fashion show to
promote body positivity to create awareness of EDs using clothing and fashion
as a tool. This year, EDAOP is organizing its 2nd show “Body Positivity Fashion
Runway: Combating Eating Disorders & Breaking the Stereotypes” on February
11th , 2023 at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad.
This year,
emerging women entrepreneurs in the fashion industry will be promoting body
positivity and showcase their dresses using real men, women and children.
